Security is a huge part of setting up your smart home. After all, what’s the point of having an automated home if you can’t protect it? From motion-sensing security cameras and spotlights, to biometric door locks, a smart home security system can really work to keep your family safe.
HAL2000 Security Systems
If you have the HAL2000 software, from Home Automated Living, here is a list of security devices that are compatible with your setup. (It’s always a good idea to make sure that anything you purchase is going to be compatible, of course)
- Gemini GEM P9600
- HAI Omni Series
- OnQ Technologies
- DSC Maxsys & Power Series
- Ademco Vista
- Apex Destiny 6100 (Which was recalled by the company)
- ELK M1 Series
Reminder – do your diligence before purchasing any products. Consumer reports, customer ratings and even a quick Google will show if there have been recalls, if the product is prone to problems or if there’s a new edition due out that will render the older model obsolete.
